    My potion cabinet

Thought I might post about a couple of things I've made recently.

This is an oil I put together out of an almond base, peppermint, and lavender oils, charged with an amber and a few little amethyst crystals. I call it Pegasus Oil but only because of the nifty bottle which I had come across at the local metaphysical shop. I put a couple of dabs of the oil on the bedroom pillows, and they help people get to sleep on nights when they're really stressed out.

This is how I learned that oil and food coloring don't mix. But here you can see the crystals at the bottom of the bottle.

This is a salt powder that I had just put together today. It turns out that apparently I need to find a nifty bottle first, then I'm able to figure out what to put in it. :P I picked this bottle up at a renaissance fair in north Georgia. The leather straps around it are attached to a loop that snaps around your belt. The cork is a little bit too big for the neck of the bottle; I might be able to find a smaller one, since they sell them by themselves at the local craft store. For the moment, though, it seals it shut pretty effectively.

The salt powder has a base of, of course, sea salt. I wasn't really working on a procedure when I made this; I added a drop of green food coloring first, to turn the salt a light shade of aqua. Then I added a bit of "faerie dust" (sparkly aqua glitter that I had picked up at the same fair) and then a drop of rosemary oil. I mixed everything together in a plastic bag before I poured it into the bottle, then I had to smack the bottle down a few times to get it to pack down. I intend on using the salt for negativity-banishing and the like; it combines various elements to give it more of a charge than regular salt.

    Plus it's sparkly. :D
